About Worcestershire Mums Network
Welcome to the Worcestershire Mums Network. Our journey began in 2013 when our founder, Siani Driver, noticed a gap in the support available for new parents in Worcestershire. Finding existing online spaces often judgmental, and struggling with anxiety that made baby groups challenging to attend, she launched a small Facebook group to foster genuine, peer-led connection. What started as a circle of friends quickly blossomed, reaching over 12,000 members.
Thirteen Years of Community Impact
Over more than a decade, we have evolved into a dedicated lifeline for families across the county. Our history is defined by action:
Advocacy: Campaigning against closure of Children’s Centres across Worcestershire in 2016.
Support: Raising funds for refugee families and hosting community picnics, as well as helping women fleeing domestic abuse to cover their moving costs and collect essential household items.
Crisis Relief: Generating over £9000 in crowdfunding and grant funding over the past 6 years, to provide emergency food, fuel and energy vouchers and essential signposting during the pandemic and the subsequent cost-of-living crisis.
Our Mission as a Community Interest Company
Now in our 13th year, we have officially formed a Community Interest Company (CIC). Our aim is to bring a sense of community and belonging to new mums across Worcestershire. We know from mums posting in our Facebook group, that isolation and loneliness amongst new mums is a massive issue, so we want to help.
We are specifically targeting areas where services are often lacking, ensuring that isolated, disadvantaged, or vulnerable families have access to high-quality local support.
Our mission is to support local families to be their healthiest, happiest selves, with the support and tools to grow and raise their families with joy, connection and hope.
